As soon as the county cancelled the STAY HOME order, this church “opened for business” almost 2 months ago. The congregation is slowly returning, but they ARE returning. People from churches which are not meeting are worshipping with us. We offer prayers regularly that people will not be fooled into fear because we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). We provided face masks and face shields (these from local company Stone Laser Imaging).

Pastor Gray's sermon on April 5, the day before the STAY HOME order was in effect was CORONA FEVER: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE. Excerpts:

  • God is aware of the virus. He is in control, is allowing the virus, and knows when it will end.
  • Believers should be fearless and faithful, pray continuously, and keep worshipping in church. (Hebrews 10: 24-25).
  • COVID-19 has everyone baffled. We must not despair however difficult our situation becomes and rely on Biblical promises in Psalm 40:3; 91:6; Isaiah 26:3; John 14:3; Romans 8:15; 2 Corinthians 4:8; 2 Timothy 1:7; 1 John 4:18.

These are difficult days. We should be prudent and plan things as well as we can. But panic? Fear? No! Let the Living God keep you in perfect peace.
