RELIGION IS THE FOUNDATION FOR THE COMING NEW WORLD ORDER
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 13:2-4, 7-8, 16-17; Revelation 17:12-13
I need to remind you that one of my obligations as your pastor is to teach you the truth in many areas so we can fulfill the Great Commission and our church Mission Statement. This message is not about foreign policy, it's not about economics, and it's not about domestic politics. Christians need to understand that current world issues are predicted by God, who is in charge. We must be aware but not afraid.
John Maynard Keynes, likely the world's best-known economist, forced on the world a theory of economics based on a set of values opposite to what makes for healthy financial living for individuals or nations.
• Keynes advocated that, during an economic down-turn, government should borrow to inflate the currency and dump large amounts of cash into the economy. The government should become the primary source of spending and employment. The end results are inflation and the devaluation of currency.
• His system, built on a love of debt and hatred of savings, produced a 1930s Great Depression much deeper and longer than necessary.
• Keynes was a member of the British Fabian Society, a socialist fraternity which began in London in 1883.
• The Fabians shared with Communists the goal of world socialism but differed in their means. Fabians do not endorse the violent, radical tactics of communists, but they will defend communists as allies in their march toward globalism, their ultimate goal.
• Fabians promoted socialism through evolution instead of revolution.
• Fabians work for world revolution not through uprising of the workers but through indoctrination of young scholars. Fabians believe that eventually these intellectual revolutionaries would acquire power and influence in the official and unofficial opinion-making and power-wielding agencies of the world. Then they could quietly establish a socialistic, one-world order composed of a one-world government and one-world economy.
• Fabian Socialism will be the foundation for the coming one-world economic system with a mixture of communism and capitalism, what humanist Richard Rorty calls, "welfare-state-capitalism."
God predicted this would happen.
• Revelation 13:16-17 foretells that there will someday be a one-world economy.
• A one-world government is foretold in Revelation 13:2-4, Revelation 13:7, and Revelation 17:12-13.
• The centerpiece of bringing all this "oneness" to pass will be the one-world religion, the foundation on which worldwide socialism will be built predicted in Revelation 13:8 which was read and in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
Man-made religion will be the vehicle for accomplishing
• a one-world economy and
• a one-world government led by
• a one-world leader.
It may seem like a stretch to propose that some form of spirituality is the basis for an otherwise secular world government, but the dots already connect through some startling sources to show that this is actually happening already.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is a committed Fabian Socialist. An article in the November 26, 2010 Telegraph newspaper, stated:
“Mr. Blair, who converted to Roman Catholicism after he stepped down as Prime Minister in 2007, said, ‘I think the place of faith in the era of globalization is the single biggest issue of the 21st century. Religion could be a civilizing force in this era of globalization."
Fabian Socialist H.G. Wells, British author of science fiction in the late 1800s declared:
“This idea of a planned world-state is one to which all our thought and knowledge is tending.
George Bernard Shaw, Nobel Prize and Oscar-winning Irish author, wrote:
“I, as a Socialist, have had to preach, as much as anyone, the power of the environment. We can change it; we must change it; there is absolutely no other sense in life than the task of changing it, which finally molds chaos itself into a race of gods.”
Shaw designed and commissioned the creation of the "Fabian Window."
• Borrowing from centuries of church tradition, this stained glass window depicts two men hammering on the world as it sits on an anvil.
• Above the window hangs the Fabian Socialist emblem: a wolf in sheep's clothing. Hardly a subtle image! Jesus warns in Matthew 7:15-16 that the greatest sign of His return will be an increase in false teachers and false prophets.
• The slogan "Remold It Nearer To The Heart's Desire" is engraved at the top. At the bottom, people are kneeling in prayer, revealing that Fabian Socialism has no problem embracing religion if it helps accomplish their global vision.
• In an odd twist in the history of the Fabian Window, it was stolen in 1978 and reappeared nearly thirty years later for the Auction at Sotheby's in July 2005.
• The window was placed on display in 2006 at the London School of Economics, the school of Fabian Socialism. Presiding over the dedication ceremony was Tony Blair, who now heads the Tony Blair Faith Foundation which seeks to bring the religions of the world together. Southern Baptist Pastor Rick Warren sits on the advisory board and has endorsed Blair's initiative.
Two tracks to globalism have existed for many years political and spiritual. Now the two tracks have become one as politicians use religion to promote globalism and religious leaders become partners with politicians to promote the United Nations. Former U.N. Secretary General Dag Hammershold noted
“There are two Popes on this planet,
a spiritual Pope in Rome and
a civilian Pope in New York, the Secretary-General of the UN."
Globalism has always been tied to occultism, so don't be surprised to see more and more politicians calling for globalism while they embrace pagan spirituality. And don't be surprised when you hear politicians using New Age language. A few years ago, Henry Kissinger declared,
"we have to bring about together with other countries a different consciousness of what a world order is."
New Agers have been using "consciousness" and "world order" language for years. Remember, Satan is behind all of this as he seeks to build his kingdom. At its core is a spiritual, religious and occult system,
In July 2009, Pope Benedict issued a 30,000-word statement
• calling for a radical rethinking of the global economy
• criticizing a growing divide between rich and poor and
• urging the establishment of a "true world political authority" to oversee the economy and work for the "common good.
• calling for a reform of the United Nations so there could be a unified "global political body" that allowed the less powerful of the earth to have a voice,
• calling on rich nations to help less fortunate ones
Pope Benedict is right on cue with what New Age author Alice Bailey said would occur, that many church leaders--even pastors and "Christian" authors--would promote globalism and pagan spirituality. This has been coming from the Vatican and Catholic leaders for some time and has now affected some Protestants as well.
Socialist "theologian" and associate of the British Fabian Society Dr. Walter Rauschenbusch in 1885 was committed to social justice, believing that it would create a "Kingdom of God on Earth." He wrote,
"The only power that can make socialism succeed, if it is established, is religion. It cannot work in an irreligious country."
In 1964, John Stormer wrote the book None Dare Call it Treason, now a classic that has sold more than seven million copies. Stormer discussed his book with Ronald Reagan who was so impressed with the book's scholarship and history that he ordered numerous copies to distribute to friends and quoted Mr. Stormer and his book in meetings “as a way to expose his Cabinet to the dangers and tactics of Communism, including the communist quest to co-opt young pastors of all denominations.”
Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin understood the importance of co-opting the church when he spoke of his intent to bring down America:
“America is like a healthy body and its resistance is three-fold:
• its patriotism,
• its morality, and
• its spiritual life.
If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”
Perhaps it was because President Reagan was so aware of the power of the church and Biblical Christianity that he made numerous trips to speak before groups such as The National Religious Broadcasters Association. President Reagan also worked with Congress to declare 1983 The Year of the Bible.
A major figure who played a leading role in co-opting the churches of America was Dr. Harry E Ward.
• In 1908, he founded the oldest, officially-cited Communist-front group in America, the Methodist Federation for Social Action.
• A year later, he played a part in organizing the Federal Council of Churches, a forerunner of the National Council of Churches.
• Ward posed as a Methodist, but for 25 years he infected hundreds of young ministers of all denominations with his blasphemous ideas as a professor of Christian Ethics at Union Theological Seminary.
In using the Trojan horse of religion to bring about globalization, modern-day advocates like Tony Blair are following the lead of those who have gone before—men like Ward and even tycoon John D. Rockefeller, Jr. In the 1920s, Rockefeller immersed himself in the Interchurch World Movement and promoted ecumenicalism:
“I see all denominational emphasis set aside and the church molding the thought of the world as it has never done before, leading in all great movements as it should, establishing the Kingdom of God on earth.”
Rockefeller may have called it "the Kingdom of God," but what he was really committed to was building the Kingdom of Satan on earth through
• globalism
• ecumenicalism and
• social justice
He did some literal building along the way, too, for his personal "golden boy" liberal pastor Harry Emerson Fosdick of Riverside Church in New York City. The Church on New York's Upper West side was endowed by the Rockefellers to the tune of 50 million dollars.
In 1959, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's report entitled “The Mid-Century Challenge to U.S. Foreign Policy” referred to
"the task of helping shape a new world order in all its dimensions - spiritual, economic, political, social."
Notice that the first step of influence for what they called "a new world order" was "spiritual." The Rockefellers helped found, develop, and lead throughout the years the globalist, anti-Christ organization, Council on Foreign Relations. John Foster Dulles was a co-founder. He was also a major player in the National Council of Churches.
There is no Biblical reason why a Christian should belong to the Council on Foreign Relations, but some very well-known leaders do. They are what Stalin called “useful idiots,” totally blind of the truth.
In 1990, Steven Rockefeller co-authored Spirit and Nature: Visions of Interdependence which encourages people to discover
"the face of the sacred in rocks, trees, animals and the Earth as a whole."
Then he started writing the Earth Charter for Mikhail Gorbachev, who said this would be like a new Ten Commandments. The charter was presented to the UN in 2002 . It promoted "the equitable distribution of wealth within nations and among nations."
2 Peter 2:1-2 and Jude 1:3- 4 warn of false teachers who will try and co-opt the church for their ungodly goals and agenda.
New Age author Alice Bailey and the demon that helped her write her books said that the apostate church would be one of three institutions to lay the groundwork for the "new order." Now the false-dominant church is laying the foundation for the great rebellion prior to the coming and acceptance of the anti-Christ.
Lutheran scholar Frederic Bauer suggests where this all will lead:
“Either to a phase of western or world civilization that is religious but hostile to Christianity or to a dominant but false church that brings all of its forces to bear against the truth of God's Word. This new church will become a persecutor of the remnant Bible-believing Christians.”
As early as 1898, Abraham Kuyper warned in the Stone Lectures at Princeton:
“Do not forget that the fundamental contrast has always been, is still and always will be until the end: Christianity and Paganism, the idols and the living God."
The fact that many have accepted this false church and its teachers shows that the Devil is not fighting religion. He is too smart for that. He is introducing a counterfeit Christianity so much like the real one that good Christians are afraid to speak out against it."
Humanist Richard Rorty, grandson of Fabian Socialist Walter Rauschenbusch picks up a Keynesian, Fabian Socialist theme by arguing that
“traditional socialism will not work. Instead, a form of government similar to corporate fascism—welfare state capitalism—will do nicely. Most people on my side of this cultural war have given up on socialism in light of the history of nationalization enterprises and central planning in Central and Eastern Europe. We are willing to grant that the welfare-state capitalism is the best we can hope for.”
Christian educator Dr. David Noebel says this welfare-state capitalism is what we now call "interventionism." Rorty is suggesting that an interventionist approach to economics works best. Interventionism is
• not a totally state-planned economy
• nor a completely free market economy, but
• a combination of the two,
where the state plays a role in redistributing wealth created in a partially or mostly free market environment.
Rorty's ideas align with the original communists. Karl Marx declared,
"My objective in life is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism."
One way that globalists have done this is by co-opting churches, seminaries, and Christian ministries and
• turning them away from the defense and proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and
• turning them towards a social gospel and anti-Christ theology and
• promoting Evolution at the same time.
Fabian Socialists don't really care to own it as long as they can control it. All they need to control an economy is a financial crisis that allows them
• to change laws
• inflate the currency
• buy stock in corporations and
• convince nations to give up their national currency—and thereby, their national sovereignty.
As I said at the beginning, this message was not about foreign policy, or economics, or domestic politics. I am following God’s direction to teach the truth in a variety of areas.
• First, and the most important area, is the truth of the Bible as God’s Word as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16.
• Next is the Christian’s duty in 2 Timothy 2:15.
• Then, when believers have studied God’s Word, God expects them to
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15).
Finally, Christians need to understand that current world issues are predicted by God, who is in charge (Matthew 24:4-13). We must be aware but not afraid. Psalm 118:6 says,
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
And our Savior calms us with His words in John 16:33
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Christians who have not "studied to show themselves approved unto God” and who are not committed to the Word of God are at great risk for spiritual deception. The Trojan horse is in our midst, and we must recognize the invasion if we are to stop it.
THE INVITATION
★ You can't depend on your own goodness to get to Heaven. We've all sinned (Romans 3:23). Jesus paid the penalty for your sins with His death on the cross and His resurrection (John 3:16).
★ To be forgiven and be guaranteed a place in Heaven, you need to repent of sin, confess that you are a sinner, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart (Acts 2:21).
★ You can use the following prayer or your own words, but you must actually believe in your heart that your prayer is real:
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed.
Please forgive all my wrongdoing and let me live in relationship with You from now on.
I receive You as my Savior and recognize that the work You accomplished once and for all on the cross was done on my behalf.
Thank You for saving me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You.
